For Austinite Spelling Bee Enthusiasts
In case you were wondering, the date for the Austin Chronicle/Fado Adult Spelling Bee has not been determined yet. However, I've corresponded with a responsible party at the Chronicle, and she says they're working on it, waiting for a response from the Fado folks. Last year I got an email announcement (I'm on their list as I've participated in the past) only two weeks before the date of the bee, and I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens this year.
No, I'm not studying for it, but I am playing plenty of Scramble on Facebook, which is positively addictive (In case you haven't had the pleasure of playing Scramble, it is akin to Boggle, my favorite word game).
